Haven Village Spring Fellowship Program

Now accepting applications for our three month Spring Fellowship Program starts April 8th, 2025 here at Haven Village! This program is specifically designed for youth 18-22 who are interested in getting back to the land and learning how to homestead and skills to include:

Gardening, Harvesting & Food preservation

All Aspects of Animal Husbandry

Working with a variety of tools in the garden and workshop

Woodworking skills and basic carpentry

Social Media Marketing or Video Editing

We welcome homeschooled youth or those in a gap year who are highly motivated, great team players and have a positive attitude. Come and learn about natural building, running a farm, wild beekeeping, rotational grazing, a variety of gardening methods and permaculture practices to name a few.

We had three amazing youth join us last year to kick off our Fellowship Program! Isadora joined us in the spring and mastered all things goats and was a great help in the kitchen.

Dylan arrived late summer - back in the states from the past 10 years in South Africa along with Azra, an architectural student from Turkey, who came for the Hemp Builder Training and stayed on a few extra weeks.

Dylan stayed on for 4 months to learn all about natural building and was a great help on the homestead . We are excited to have him return again this Spring for the next level of building with hemp.

Some of our Spring Projects & Learning Opportunities include:

Building swales, growing our orchard and tree pruning

Phase one of our Market Garden including low tunnel applications

Learning how to build with Hempcrete & Clay Plaster

Constructing a Cob Oven

Fellows will be mentored by skilled folks and part of our on-site team working an average of 25-30 hours a week with plenty of time for personal projects and nature immersions. Travel stipend, accommodations and most meals provided from food we grow ourselves. Must be an early riser, able to work in all kinds of weather - humid heat during the day and cool evenings at night.
