Happy New Year!

We are so excited for 2026! We have slipped into the winter season seamlessly and are enjoying the spaciousness with moments of peace and stillness this time of year offers. The frosty mornings are melted by the afternoon sun. There is a vulnerableness to this time of year as the trees are bare and unable to buffer the sounds of the roosters crowing, the new chickens chirping and the dogs barking that echo in our little valley.

We are also enjoying the animals - we now have over 30 baby bunnies so almost a total of 40 with their mamas and our boys. One of our game hens hatched 9 chicks and is still sitting on 7 eggs! We are still getting 3-4 eggs per day (our silkies are the main producers). The goats, puppies and cats enjoyed the warm days we had last week...as did we!

We like to stay busy and took on what we thought would be a simple a xmas project to fix up the upstairs loft above our community kitchen and it turned out to be more than expected - but we had fun doing it together! It will be our temporary office space until we finish our winter renovation projects for the kitchen and our Office HQ.

On Christmas Eve it was nice and warm (in the 70's) and the perfect moment for an engagement! Ryan (future son-in-law to our neighbors Royce & Diane) proposed to Emily on the ridge. We were able to catch some nice photos!

We are ready for 2026! We have so many new applicants moving forward to be official members and more interested. We will only be hosting Spring Immersions in March and April as that will cap our current membership until the Fall! There are a few spots left - so if you are interested reach out ASAP!

So much to look forward to and be grateful for in the new year! Next year this time we will have a thriving community living on site...until then, we will soak in these quiet moments and use the time to prepare for what lies ahead!

Hope to see you in the new year!
