The first of many to come: The Resiliency Life Skills Weekend for our members and those interested in membership. This is what it is all about - being ready for the times ahead. We are not preppers but we beleive in being prepared and learning the skills necessary for our collective resiliency. It will be chilly, a bit rugged and very potent.... A great opportunity to get to know one another in a very real way!

Come see the variety of Hemp structures we have built in the past two years, get your questions answered, learn how to mix and install Hemp-Crete and make new connections in the Hemp Building Space. You will learn:

• Hemp-Crete best practices in your design and build

• Quality and material sourcing and preparation for your project

• Design overview of detailing and industry standards

• Material recipe, proportions and mixing procedures

• The Hemp Processing industry and machinery overview

• Application of installing Hemp-Crete and guided application methods and tools.

• Finishing methods for Hemp-Crete and pros and cons; what to do and not to do

Join us at Haven Village for our first Creative Collective weekend as we dream in the new paradigm that is emerging from a place of joy and abundance. The focus is CREATIVE ABUNDANCE as we celebrate the completion of our first residential hemp home and the launch of our artists in residence program. This will be a fun-filled time and  great opportunity for those interested in learning more about potential residential membership to visit as well. 

An intimate gathering for those interested in learning more about potential residential membership here at Haven Village. Land Tours and a comprehensive overview of what we are up to here. Local field trips to explore the local area, hands-on homestead project, sharing meals and talks around the fire. 

Tour of the first healthy hemp home we just completed and see the second one in process. River will share the design and build process and there will be plenty of opportunities to have your questions answered during our time together. 

Hemping our second residential hemp home here at HV and have a few spots for interns and experienced builders new to hemp who are thinking of becoming future hemp home builders. An immersive experience with classroom time and tours of the existing hemp structures (week one). You will be front lines, mixing the materials, and putting hemp into the shuttering, as we install the hempcrete for the exterior walls of this 640 sqft modern hemp Cabin. It is a build site, and a real life project in motion. Spots are limited, and we’ll do a call with everyone interested to make sure it’s a good fit.

Join us Founder Bio-Architect and Hemp Builder Paul River Richardson, veteran UK-based hempcrete expert and founder of Hemp-Lime Spray and The Hempcrete Forum Graham Durrant to dispel some of the myths and provide the most valuable information on best practices for Hemp-crete installations and take you to the next level of Hemp building knowledge and its practical application with methods that create the highest performing bio-based living structures based on their combined decades of experience.

• Fundamentals of HempLime & Basic Building Physics

• The most efficient and highest performance Hempcrete building techniques 

• Everything you need to know about equipment, binders, and project feasibility
